Speech Delays and Language Concerns

My son is 2 years 5 months. He is able to understand what we speak. But he is not able to speak maximum words and sentences. He is speaking very minimal word, Mommy, Daddy, sister, Apple. I need help regarding the same. I am worried about him.

My suggestion would be to contact your local early intervention provider to request a speech evaluation for your son. By age 2.5 he should have a vocabulary of at least 50 single words and be combing words into 2-3 word phrases. You can read more about speech & language development at our link here.

Here is the link to the Early On program which I believes serves your community, where you can call for more information and set up a free evaluation.
